The Cliff Walk along the eastern shore of Newport, RI is world famous as a public access walk that combines the natural beauty of the Newport shoreline with the architectural history of Newport's gilded age. Wildflowers, birds, geology ... all add to this delightful walk. Make sure you wear sensible shoes, the rocks can get very tricky! Either start at The Chanler/1st beach entrance or start somewhere in the middle (our favorite stretch is from Wetmore Ave. all the way to Rejects Beach).

The Newport Mansions offer a unique trip through 250 years of American history, architecture, art and landscape design. Tickets are available through the Newport Mansions website. The Elms is featured in the HBO show, The Gilded Age; The Breakers is the most popular and always a fan favorite; Rough Point is a personal favorite of Alex and Matthew, but slightly off the beaten path. You can't go wrong with any of the mansion tours!

For generations, the quintessential Newport seaside experience. Settle into an Adirondack chair and soak in the sun, a cocktail or two, and the parade of cruisers, racers, daysailers, and ocean-going marine craft sailing up and down Narragansett Bay past Castle Hill. Chairs are first-come, first served to enjoy beverages only. The view from Castle Hill Inn was the inspiration for our Save the Date painted by Erin Tapp and the lighthouse above is an ode to the Castle Hill lighthouse (just a short walk from the lawn).

One of five national wildlife refuges in Rhode Island,&nbsp;Sachuest Point is home to 242 acres that offer an important stopover and wintering area for migratory birds in Middletown. Situated on the coast overlooking the ocean, a hike at Sachuest Point is relatively flat and easy, and offers scenic views without having to climb. This was one of Alex's grandfather's favorite walking spots to see the ocean and birdwatch.

The Newport Shipyard is walking distance from Bowen's Wharf and very enjoyable to walk around and look at the boats! Belle's is our favorite breakfast to sit and eat while looking at all of the gorgeous boats.

10 miles of commanding coastline meets one winding road on Newport’s iconic Ocean Drive. Start your journey just off historic Bellevue Avenue and continue along for an undeniably tranquil journey with heart-stopping views. You’ll pass by Gilded Age mansions, Hammersmith Farm where Jackie Kennedy grew up, Brenton Point State Park, and Fort Adams State Park. Everyone will be doing some part of Ocean Drive as that is where Gooseberry Beach is located!

Sachuest Beach in Middletown, locally known as Second Beach, is where you'll find most of the area's locals. The longest stretch of sand in Rhode Island, Second Beach provides 1.5 miles of white sand stretching down to Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge. Here you'll find 2.5 miles of nature trails and more than 200 bird species throughout the year. Head to Surfer's End for, you guessed it, surfing; plus, kayaking and kite flying. Large waves and ample space culminate the perfect beach scene. &nbsp;
